Job Type: Full-time
1st: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday
2nd Shift: 4:15 pm till 2:45 am Monday -Thursday
Weekends Shift: 6:00 am till 6.30 pm Friday - Sunday
Essential functions and duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic workpieces
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.
- Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set up machine operations and sequencing, and finished work pieces dimension.
- Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust the machine to compensate.
- Remove and replace dull cutting tools
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience as a CNC machinist
- Lathes experience
- Must have a good understanding of metals, and plastics
