Overview
New Tech is looking for skilled CNC Machinists to set up, maintain and operate machinery. A great Machinist is reliable, with a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential as all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. They will ensure that procedures are carried out smoothly, to maximize efficiency and profits.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and run multi axis machines
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed and feeds)
- Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Meet job requirements with minimal supervision

Requirements
- 5+ years on CNC Mills or CNC Lathes
- Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Understanding of machining procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Strong Mathematical Skills
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
Preferred, but not required skills
- Experience in aerospace industry
- Experience with live tooling machines
- Programming experience on cad system
