Description:
We are seeking a driven Sr. Lathe Machinist to join our ever-growing company and team.
Primary duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
· Set up and operate Lathes to machine developmental and production parts to meet print specification.
· Responsible for using MES to track production activity.
· Read blueprints, Set Up instructions, and standard charts for print specifications.
· Set-up, run and make minor edits at the machine.
· Programming in developing fixtures as needed.
· Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required.
· Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process controls charts.
· Assist Lead person as needed.
· Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as needed.
· Monitor and replace cutting tools as needed in machines and equipment.
· Test operation of tool to ensure proper function and performance.
· Ensure company procedures and “best machine practices” are being always followed.
· Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Associate degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Comprehensive knowledge of CNC Lathes & Mills
· Comprehensive knowledge of blueprint reading and GD & T
· Knowledge of accepted inspection practices
· Knowledge of G & M code
· Ability to read and write in basic English language.
· To be a team player, maintaining a positive work atmosphere, good conduct, and communication.
· Comply with all safety requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
· Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.
· Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
· Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls

Pay: $40.50 - $51.00 per hour
