Job Details:
We are currently on the hunt for an experienced CNC Machinist with Gibbs Cam expertise to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe machines and interpreting complex blueprints to deliver high-quality parts and components. If you're a detail-oriented professional with a knack for precision and a passion for problem-solving, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Set up, operate, and maintain HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe machines to manufacture parts and components as per the specifications.
2. Read and interpret complex blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
3. Use Gibbs Cam software to program, set up, and operate CNC machines.
4. Perform regular equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
5. Monitor machine operation and control panel display and adjust machine settings to keep tolerances within specifications.
6. Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions, and numerical control sequences.
7. Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot problems and improve machining processes.
8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with CNC Machine Operation, Lathe Operation, and Mill Operation.
3. Demonstrated proficiency with Gibbs Cam software.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
5. Skilled in operating HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe machines.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A strong understanding of safety protocols and standards in the workplace.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
10. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
