Shift Details:
10 - 12 hour shifts
Swing Shift: Monday -Thursday, 3:30pm-2:00am
Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 3:00am-3:30pm
Weekend Swing Shift: Friday - Sunday, 3:00pm-3:30am
Wage Details:
$20 - $34 / Hr. plus shift differential

Job Overview Level 1
A machine operator will have the ability to run a CNC machine and to set up simple proven production jobs. They will be able to properly load parts, complete and verify probing cycles, run the CNC program and verify required dimensions upon completion of machining.
Job Overview Level 2
A CNC Machinist Level 2 is proficient in setting up production parts on 3 and 4 axis machine centers per work instructions and process router. They can set up cutting tools and enter offsets in CNC program. This person is advancing to a Level 3 machinist.
Job Overview Level 3
A CNC Machinist Level 3 is proficient in setting up and proving out new CNC programs for new or existing parts. They can troubleshoot both new and existing issues with programs and work with programming to resolve these. They can set up cutting tools and enter offsets in CNC program. They can train operators on production parts as well as standard shop practices.
Responsibilities and Duties Level 1
· Machine part in accordance with current process router and work instructions
· Ability to use dimensional measuring tools including Micrometer, Calipers, Pin Gages and Bore Gages.
· Verifies part conformance per work instructions and records required dimensions on record sheet
· Monitors and adjusts cutting tools. Notifies supervisor when cutting tools need replacement
· Maintains a safe, organized and clean work area
· Maintains schedule and performs critical work assignments
· Performs other duties as assigned
In addition to Above Level 2
· Sets up recurring production parts on 3 and 4 axis machine centers
· Monitors and adjusts cutting tools. Replaces worn tools and sets/resets tool offsets
In addition to Above Level 3
· Sets up and proves out new or existing CNC programs 3, 4 and 5 axis machine centers
· Review new programs prior to start in CAD program system or CAD program verification system
· Works directly with programming department to resolve program issues
· Offers input or suggestions to improve current processes
· Trains employees on advanced machining skills
Qualifications Level 1
· High school or GED equivalent with completed accredited technical program
· Certification of completion in Machine Technology program beneficial
· 1-3 years machining experience in addition to or in lieu of the above
· Ability to read and understand common G and M codes for CNC machines
· Ability to demonstrate shop math skills such as Trigonometry, Metal removal calculations, Surface Speed calculations, etc.
· Proficiency in Blueprint reading and application of GDT
· Experience with probing and variable assignments a plus
· Ability to stand 8 hours continuously and lift 40lbs repetitively
In addition to Above Level 2
3-5 years machining experience.
In addition to Above Level 3
· 5+ years machining experience.
· Previous set-up and prove out experience
· Advanced knowledge of G and M codes for CNC machines
· Ability to review part program in CAD system and or CAD program verification system
· Advanced ability in shop math skills such as Trigonometry, Metal removal calculations, Surface Speed calculations, etc.
