Position Summary
As the CNC Machinist, you will have experience running machines of this magnitude within a manufacturing shop. You will work with engineers to support various robotic builds under research and development guidelines with quick turnaround times. This role is vital to the success of the organization's sustainability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes to small or function-specific projects.
• Receives regular guidance and check-ins within each project.
• Sets up CNC machines including but not limited to 3, 4 or 5 Axis Mills and CNC Lathes.
• Troubleshoots work problems as they arise using knowledge and experience. Modifies existing programs at the controller as required to improve effectiveness of the job.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggests changes to increase efficiency of jobs.
• Experience with programming with MasterCam and at the controller.
• Ability to use basic manual measuring devices including digital height gauges, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and go/no-go gauging including understanding of proper measuring techniques for GD&T.
• Applies a variety of machine tool set up and operating techniques on a daily basis. Troubleshoots set ups and production runs to improve job performance. Sets up and runs various machines to assure that completed work meets all requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• 4-6 years of working setup CNC machine experience is preferred.
• The ability to setup & run both mill & lathe CNC machines
• Must be able to hold a tight tolerance
• Proficient with the use of all manual measuring devices and own tools based on your experience
• Must have previous programming or editing at the controller experience
• Preferred CNC Equipment Experience includes Hurco and Fanuc machine experience
• Proficient reading blueprints

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100 lbs with assistance, to transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to pick up from vendors and deliver stock and materials to customers upon request, to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a step ladder at approximately three feet in height and to work from a lift up to twenty feet in height)'
Compensation
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S. based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
