Savvy Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team!
2nd shift, full time, temp to hire contract
As a CNC machinist, you are a vital member of the manufacturing team and will be involved in the upkeep and repair of our manufacturing tools, proto-type metal cutting support, and small lot machining. Reporting to the Tooling Engineering Manager and maintain regular interface with Tooling Engineers and all levels of plant management and personnel.
Position responsibilities include:
- Follow and participate in all safety requirements in the factory and job specific.
- Perform preventative maintenance on our tools and ensure the good status of all the production tooling.
- Implement and maintain visual systems within the tooling shop utilizing lean production principles.
- Perform a variety of machining functions such as precision deburring, manual machining, surface grinding, drilling and tapping.
- Read and follow Production Routers, Work Orders, Work Instructions, Design Prints.
- Set-up machines to run various jobs in order to effectively and efficiently complete jobs.
- Repair and mechanical maintenance of precision Rubber Molds of various sizes and complexity
- Maintain organized and clean workspace – Practice 6S.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and technical training; or 4-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Manual and CNC equipment and CAD/CAM experience. Specifically: Haas VM6 and VM3 Mills, Mori-Seiki Lathe, Flow Water Jet, PTrak RX5 and K3–read and edit G code.
- Must have the ability to work from complicated blueprints and designs with tight tolerances.
- Must be a self-starter that requires limited supervision to complete jobs.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
