Job Title: CNC Machinist 1

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Fulltime role

Shift Hours:

Days –  (Mon-Th; 4:30am - 3:10pm)

Swing –   (Mon-Th; 3:00pm - 1:40am)

Weekend –  (Fri-Sun; 6:00am - 6:30pm)

About the Role:

In this role, you will be setting up and operating CNC machines, solving problems, performing inspections, and creating high-quality machined parts. You will also grow in your machining knowledge to have the ability to take on a mix of higher complexity parts throughout your career at Vantedge Medical.

Responsibilities:

· Sets up and runs 3 axis CNC vertical mills

· Downloads programs and makes tool-offset entries on machine

· Adjusts feed and speeds, and makes other minor on-machine program changes as needed, and conveys changes back to programming

· Observes tool functioning and wear, and replaces tools mid-job if needed

· Performs 2nd operation steps (hardware installation etc.) when requested

· Performs dimensional and visual inspection of parts

· Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment as required (way lube, coolant)

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements / Skills:

· Basic machining knowledge, including feeds and speeds, materials, tooling types and uses

· “Everyday” familiarity with at least one of the following CNC controls: Fanuc, Haas

· Familiarity with surface finishes and callouts

· Use of basic machining inspection tools including calipers, micrometer, height gage, pin gages, thread gages

· Demonstrated working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

· Ability to perform basic arithmetic computation, including basic trigonometry

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 2 years minimum machining experience, at least one of which must be on CNC equipment
