Cnc Machine Operators - 2Nd Shift

Essential functions (What)

1. Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include lathes, mills, and similar equipment.
2. Set up repeat jobs.
3. Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
4. Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
5. Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
6. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
7. Responsible for accuracy of own work

1. Use inspection gauges and equipment to check work
2. Must be able to wear personal safety gear as required to meet OSHA regulations, ie., goggles, gloves, back belt, apron, and respirator when required
3. Basic blueprint reading and mil spec knowledge
4. Fill out required regulated paperwork and required documentation
5. Complete all required training
6. Other duties as assigned

Prefered education and experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Completion of related apprenticeship program preferred.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
