Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts
- Program CNC lathes for production or unique parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments to perform precision machining tasks
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles and techniques
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Experience with hand tools and measuring instruments used in machining processes
- Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
- Familiarity with milling machines and press brake machines is a plus
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
