Cnc Lathe Operator

Company is seeking experienced machinists to set up CNC Lathes in a Job Shop production environment.

AS & ISO Certified Gear Co., specializing in high precision machining, is currently looking for skilled CNC Machinists to be part of our team and grow within the company.

Full-time PositionSchedule:

This is a of minimum 40 hrs./ week

Monday – Thursday (6am to 4:30pm)

Overtime will be available as required.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience SETTING UP lathes in a JOB SHOP environment, must be proficient on CNC lathes.
• Must be proficient in boaring jaws to achieve concentricity within .001”. Must have the ability to mount and touch off tools, indicate fixtures quickly and accurately, unattended.
• Basic programming skills are necessary to write jaw cutting programs on FANUC controls. Must know and understand G & M codes as well as geometry radius compensation. Knowledge of cutting tools and inserts is a requirement.
• Basic editing and adjusting of feeds and speeds during prove out of new programs is necessary as required to produce 1st part to print specs.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced job shop maintaining a very high-quality level of parts with tolerances of +/-.0005" or less on a daily basis.
• Knowledge of Lathes is a requirement.
• Must be capable but not limited to lifting 50 lb. if necessary throughout the working shift while on the job.
• Must be capable of standing for entire working shift while on the job.
• Full knowledge of measuring tools required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not necessary
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to complete set up and produce parts according to cycle time.
