Requirements:

• High School/GED degree or higher
• Any of the following licenses/certifications in the state of Texas (TX):
  • Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • Valid American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
  • Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
• 2+ years experience with any of the following:
  • direct patient care
  • nursing aide

Requirements

The San Angelo State Supported Living Center is accepting submissions for the following position at their facility:

- Direct Care Professional/Certified Nursing Aides

Duties may include: DSP/CNA duties:

- Routine and emergency care, treatment and training for people with intellectual disabilities

- Duties include grooming, bathing, feeding, observing and reporting individuals conditions and behaviors

- Meaningful engagement through active treatment and behavioral support programs

- Requires documentation on individuals daily schedule as things occur

- Work in a team environment

- Training will be provided

Job Requirements for all candidates:

- Certified Nurse Aide must hold a current permit including a current permit issued under Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 242, Subchapter N, Administration of Medication

- experience working in programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

All compliance must be met before candidate can start.

Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification

- Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months

- COVID-19 testing with negative result required (facility provides)

- Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provide)

- Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provide)
