Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems and critical care procedures is beneficial
- Familiarity with pediatric care, hospice care, primary care, and aseptic techniques is advantageous
- Proficiency in performing tasks such as catheterization, spinal taps, and other medical procedures is desirable
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
