CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Location:- 40 Whitehall Rd, Rochester, NH 03867

Shift: 3PM-11PM

Weeks: 14 weeks

Hours: 40 hours

NOTE: Week one: Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri | Week two: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs, Sat

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Collect specimens for testing and perform basic laboratory procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with wound care and suture removal
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or equivalent training.
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of NH
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Skills:
- Strong ability to lift and move patients safely
- Proficient in airway management techniques
- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy and compassion
- Knowledge of assisted living principles and practices
- Exceptional customer service skills in a healthcare setting
- Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture
- Familiarity with pediatric care practices and techniques
- Ability to ventilate patients using appropriate equipment
