```Duties```
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report to the nursing staff
- Assist with feeding and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as wound care and dressing changes
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
Skills:
- Physical examinations: Ability to assist with physical examinations under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
- Acute care: Experience providing care to patients in acute care settings, such as hospitals or emergency departments.
- Dementia care: Knowledge and experience in providing specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Tube feeding: Proficiency in administering nutrition through feeding tubes.
- Medication administration: Ability to accurately administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules.
- Hospice care: Understanding of the unique needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
- Working with people developmental disabilities: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Critical care: Familiarity with providing care for critically ill patients in intensive care units or similar settings.
- Catheterization: Ability to perform catheterization procedures for patients requiring urinary catheters.
- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy and its relevance to patient care.
