Role and Responsibilities
- Inspect prototype and low - rate production hardware and transition new, turn - key processes into Additive Supply Chain shops
- Have ability to perform basic and advanced CMM Programming using multiple software languages
- Effectively perform in-process and final checks using metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
- Utilize advanced inspection techniques (CMM, Faro Arm, LEICA scanner etc...)
- Work to blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings to inspect hardware for first article, in-process and final part inspection
- Gather, record, compile, and interpret quality control data
- Document non-conformities, process issues and disposition
- Work from complex product drawings, manuals, specifications, and other customer / company requirements
- Support Continuous Improvement activities and methods. (i.e., RCCA, supplier quality control)
- Support manufacturing engineering and quality systems during quality control activities. (at final inspection)
- Collect and input process capability data and support QC process control such as SPC, Gage R&R etc.
- Take ownership for assigned lab areas including maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, environmental health and safety, and shop cleanliness
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or Technical Degree
- 5 plus years applied programming experience
- 3 plus years' experience in inspection methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Multiple inspection process techniques, to include experience using varying software such as PC-DMIS, Polyworks, Camio. others etc.
- Highly self-motivated and detail oriented
- Work independently and in teams
- Technically skilled to communicate at all levels of management (Engineering and Production Operations)
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications/drawings
- Computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or web-based tools
