Under the direct supervision of the clinic administrator, this role will perform the following:
- Telephonic support for on-line authorization of routine services.
- Contact specialty care providers for authorization needs.
- Monitoring patient eligibility.
- Perform on-line data entry of routine authorizations / denials.
Aside from building relationships, exceeding patient expectations and having fun while you work, the following apply:
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Current License to Practice, RN/LPN (State of Iowa).
- High school diploma.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- A positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to assist providers in professional manner
