Cma/Lpn Clinic Office - Nurse Float - No Weekends Or Holidays - Prn

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Certification/Registration as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA,) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification
• Experience:  1-2 years of experience in office preferred

Education

Maintain registration/certification/licensure.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge base of general diagnoses, medications, and procedures.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions; knowledge of basic OSHA information.
• Computer skills are required to schedule appointments, requisition for patient chart information, order entry and medication reconciliation, and assist with multiple tasks of department patient care.
• Ability to alphabetize, to perform basic mathematical functions, and demonstrate a working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT-4 and ICD-9 / ICD-10 coding, and insurance carrier parameters.
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of PC-based computer systems, including word processing and patient accounting software.
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of obtaining and authorizing patient referrals.
