THE OPPORTUNITY:
General Warehouse associates are an essential part of C&M Auto Parts distribution network. They load and unload trucks, move material within the facility and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks or other material handling equipment. Picking, pulling and filling orders is an essential part of our business and this position.
- Print and pull the invoices in a timely fashion with accuracy.
- Garbage and recycling oversight.
- Clean and sweep main warehouse minimally weekly.
- Utilization of a floor scrubber bi-weekly.
- Empty return cart at the end of each day.
- Review and understand ledger and research missing parts by using Ledger Contact manager as needed.
- All push carts with product in them, need to be restocked accurately on a daily basis.
- Off load trucks as needed.
- Scan as needed.
- Change/enhance process for better work environment/safety/efficiency (when needed)
- Put stock away as needed or instructed by the manager.
- Work and communicate with other departments.
- Follow and execute cycle counts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Prior work experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Experience using a materials requirement planning system (MRP) such as AS400.
- Computer skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check screening
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
