Cloud Operations Administrator (Aws)

The Cloud Operations Administrator is critical, providing in-depth knowledge and expertise in the AWS cloud ecosystem. This position is pivotal throughout the lifecycle of AWS cloud projects and setups. As an Operations Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring our enterprise AWS cloud infrastructure's robustness, efficiency, and scalability.

What You'll Do

• System Deployment and Management: Efficiently deploy, manage, and operate various systems and services within the AWS cloud, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitoring and Problem Resolution: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to monitor, identify, and resolve issues within the AWS environment, maintaining system stability and performance.
• Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct routine services such as patching, software updates, and system upgrades to ensure the latest security and functionality standards.
• AWS Administration: Oversee daily AWS operations, including account management, user access, network configurations, and service monitoring.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor AWS tenant capacity needs, ensuring scalability and efficient resource utilization.
• Integration with Monitoring Platforms: Collaborate with monitoring platforms (such as Cloudwatch and Elastic Stack) to set up alerts and dashboards, supporting cross-team initiatives.
• Project Participation: Engage in projects to enhance and upgrade systems within or integrated with AWS.
• Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity.
• Vendor and Consultant Communication: Liaise with third-party vendors and consultants, facilitating effective project execution and support activities.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, reflecting current systems and processes.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum three years in AWS or AWS Systems operations, preferably with an infrastructure background.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Windows Server & Linux OS, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Certifications: Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Practitioner, SysOps, Solutions Architect) are highly desirable. Additional certifications such as MCSE, MCTIP, and VCP are beneficial.
• ITIL/ITSM Certification: Having ITIL/ITSM certification will be considered an asset.

Salary Range: $110,000 to $135,000 - The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Fluent salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
