SalaryFocus Area:WAN/Public Cloud - Currently using GCP, AWS, Oracle and Azure. Azure experience prefered - all others are a bonus
Hardware/Programs:Uses Cisco currently, Palo Alto firewalls, Citrix NetScaler for load balancing.
On-call expectation -For the first 3 months they do notparticipate in on-call; On call a week at a time, covering off hours during the week then the weekend. One week per month until contractor leaves - then rotates between 3 engineers.
Qualifications:
- Someone who has grown from Systems Admin, help desk background with a total experience of 10-15 years.
- Cloud networking primary focus
- Experience with infrastructure automation & setting that up in the cloud, Terraforming, has worked in an Ansible shop.
- Strong understanding of WAN connectivity - SD-WAN
- Hardware:Cisco, Extreme, Juniper, etc.
- Nice to haves:Palo Alto cert a plus, Solutions architect or networking certs with public clouds nice to have.
