Forterra is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure and M365 Administrator to join our IT
team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our
Azure hybrid Cloud Infrastructure as well as our Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will
possess a strong background in Azure cloud technologies and related on-premises infrastructure,
Microsoft 365 administration, and have a proven track record of implementing and optimizing cloud
solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, implement, and operate Office 365 solutions for the organization.
- Drive unified integration between all cloud, SaaS, and hosted products.
- Work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the O365 architecture and integrate it with on premises infrastructure.
- Implement and support Office 365 and related technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure Active Directory and Active Directory.
- Federation Services (ADFS incl SSO), Azure Directory Synchronization, Intune and licensing.
- Regularly monitor licensing and need to drive savings.
- Serve as primary Azure and O365 administrator in a GCCH environment.
- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware) and be able to support M365 in a hybrid multi-cloud environment.
- Support collaboration SaaS services and integration of Linux, MacOS, mobile devices and SaaS into the M365 ecosystem.
- Support Disaster Recovery planning efforts.
- Ability to create and maintain PowerShell scripts or other software development languages.
- Ability to operate from task and project management tools, such as JIRA.
- Participate in end-to-end root cause analysis
- Patch Management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Extensive experience with both Azure and Microsoft 365.
- SSO configuration (SAML/SCIM, etc).
- VMWare Administration
- Knowledge of both On Premises and Cloud storage technologies.
- Active Directory Administration/Architecture in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and learn new technologies quickly.
- A keen desire to automate everything as appropriate.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using RPA Tools like Power Automate and UiPath.
- A general understanding of the fundamentals of secure networking requirements.
- Comfortable utilizing Linux in a server environment.
Education and Experience:
- 10 years experience
- BS in related IT/Engineering Field Preferred but not necessary
