General Requirements:
Synopsys is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for designing, analyzing, debugging, and implementing cloud solutions and support on the Synopsys public Cloud Infrastructure. This position will primarily focus on the major cloud providers (Azure, AWS and GCP). This role will work closely with business stakeholders, R&D, engineering, DevOps, InfoSec, and other IT functional teams. You will be responsible for collaborating globally with Synopsys IT functional groups and providing leadership on efforts for various IT activities related to the Synopsys Engineering environment. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for automation, IAM policies, security, virtual machines, object storage, provisioning and all things related to Cloud Infrastructure. You will focus on standards for deployments and security controls with a strong focus on hardening the Cloud Infrastructure and enhancing the current security posture. The candidate will need to maintain and support production environments in compliance with SLAs and Security Policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $79,000 to $138,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, release, and manage configuration of production and test infrastructure on public clouds (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Design and implement automated infrastructure solutions and blueprints across compute, storage, and network domains.
- Work alongside architects and engineering teams to design and implement scalable services.
- Recommend and integrate process and architecture improvements.
- Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines for IT support team members.
- Directly work with engineering teams and non-technical business users to troubleshoot and resolve access, performance, and availability issues.
- Ensure compliance with Synopsys security policies such that stakeholder information is protected.
- GovCloud support and infrastructure automation
- Cost optimization and cloud governance
- Participate in auditing and security assessments of public cloud
- On-call 24x7 coverage may be required
- Familiar with cloud best practices and Well Architected Framework (WAF)
- 2+ years experience with Microsoft Azure, GCP and AWS as a cloud platform and services administrator. Preferred Azure.
- Candidate must have experience with Ansible, Terraform, and orchestration in cloud platforms.
- Understanding/experience with the Azure AI platform, OpenAI, and its principles is a plus.
- Linux administration and troubleshooting knowledge is a plus.
- Python programming knowledge and experience are preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and containerization.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent Communication and collaboration skills.
- B. Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant hands-on Azure/AWS/GCP experience
- Minimum 5 years of IT related experience.
- Cloud Certification is preferable.
