Position Overview:
Bonfy.AI is seeking a skilled, hands-on Cloud Engineering / DevOps Lead to spearhead our efforts in automating processes, enhancing our cloud infrastructure, and leading our DevOps practices to support our rapid growth and the continuous delivery of high-quality software solutions.
The Cloud Engineering / DevOps Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy, automating our software delivery processes, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. This position calls for a dynamic and proactive leader capable of driving technological advancements and leading a team of cloud and DevOps engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and growth of the cloud infrastructure.
- Architect scalable, secure, robust, and highly available cloud solutions supporting enterprise-wide applications.
- Automate system scaling and management processes
- Implement monitoring tools, to ensure system performance and security; Set up alerts, proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Develop, implement, and oversee DevOps practices including continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Collaborate with software development, security, and IT teams to ensure seamless and agile operations across pipelines.
- Hire, manage, mentor, and lead a small team of cloud and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Drive cloud cost optimization strategies to ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and DevOps trends, evaluating and recommending tools and processes that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations across cloud services.
- Lead incident management and post-mortem analysis to ensure high availability and reliability of our services.
- Develop strategies for maintaining system uptime and mitigating security risks
- Collaborate on capacity planning and demand forecasting.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in cloud engineering and DevOps roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
- Strong expertise in major cloud service providers (predominantly AWS).
- Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi), and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
- Deep understanding of networking, security and compliance standards relevant to cloud and software development.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
