$500 Sign on bonus

Pre-licensed pay range $70,000- $85,000

Licensed pay range $95,000- $105,000 

One (1) full-time (40 hours/week) Clinician—Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) in Modesto. The Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) provides mental health services and crisis intervention to children 6 to 13 years of age in a residential placement. The services provided include individual, family, collateral, group, and case management in the STRTP, family homes, community, and school settings.  The Head of Service-Licensed is a licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC).  

Qualifications: 

1.    Clinician- Graduation from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or other related degree required. These degrees must be license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).  The applicant must be registered with the BBS.   
2.    Licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) preferred. 
Experience in non-traditional clinical settings preferred.
3.    BBS registration, licenses, credentials or like certifications must remain active and valid with their governing entity, if applicable. 
4.    A valid California driver’s license with less than two minor moving violations is required of staff who have driving duties to meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency’s insurance company.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Ability to communicate ideas in oral and written form.
  2. Ability to instruct in group and individual settings.
  3. Physical, mental, and emotional health adequate to perform duties.
  4. Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.
  5. Adhere to all applicable legal, ethical standards and Community Care Licensing standards in accordance with Title 22 and Title 9.
  6. Ability to work effectively with cultural/ethnic diversity.
  7. Ability to work at various locations, including client homes, schools and community settings.
  8. Ability to complete all documentation and other duties within the prescribed timeframes.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct clinical services to clients.
  2. Provide assessment and treatment planning for clients.
  3. Provide group, individual, family, and collateral clinical services for clients.
  4. Provide school consultation when appropriate.
  5. Keep comprehensive clinical records that meet standards of the agency, The Joint Commission and contract.
  6. Collaborate with the referring agency or other community agencies working with the client to coordinate treatment.
  7. Collect outcome data, including consumer satisfaction surveys, as required by the agency and contract.
  8. Must implement program goals and objectives to meet and maintain contractual requirements and productivity.
  9. Participate in monthly peer review.
  10. Attend trainings.
  11. Responsible for preventing and controlling infection.
  12. Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety.
  13. Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention.
  14. Properly administer the C-SSRS to help prevent suicide.
  15. Provide clinical oversight for non-licensed clinicians and other mental health staff in the STRTP.
  16. Effectively navigate and utilize the electronic health record (EHR).
  17. Ensure compliance with mental health contracts and applicable regulations including Department of Health Care Services, Community Care Licensing standards in accordance with Title 22 and Title 9.
  18. Meet monthly productivity expectations.
  19. Utilize Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths tool for treatment planning.
  20. Facilitate and/or participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings.  
  21. Provide Crisis Intervention and be available after hours, nights, and/or weekends in accordance with programmatic need. On call required.
  22. Provide trauma informed, culturally sensitive training, coaching, and modeling techniques to staff.
  23. Train and educate staff and other members of the CFT to effectively utilize intervention strategies within the treatment milieu and other settings.
  24. Properly administer medication for the therapeutic treatment of clients.
  25. Ensure interactions are appropriate and sensitive to client’s culture and developmental level.
  26. Effectively use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques for crisis prevention and intervention.
