About this position:
Assists with recruiting strategy development, screens candidates, interviews candidates and contributes to the successful on-boarding of newly hired clinicians and RNs. Precepts and trains, supports and mentors, and completes formal evaluations. Partners with the Training department and Clinical Trainers to ensure optimal service delivery by non-licensed health center staff by reviewing training materials, maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures, and providing clinical consultation and support. Assists in ensuring the highest quality patient care in compliance with medical standards and guidelines and PPGNHAIK protocols.
This position is hybrid and will involve traveling to regional Indiana health centers. This position may also require you to work at understaffed health centers.
You may also work .3 FTE in the health center as a clinician per pay period. You are responsible for covering the following sites; Lafayette, Southside, Bloomington, Midtown and Georgetown.
Compensation: PPGNHAIK's compensation philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range is 97,344 - 180,781 paid annually.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Partners with Human Resources to develop and execute additional recruiting strategies for clinicians and RNs. Attends job fairs, visits schools, and attends other events that foster relationships with potential candidates.
  • Reviews clinician and RN resumes and conducts initial phone screenings. Schedules and holds time available each week to ensure a quick turnaround on resume review and phone screening.
  • Conducts in-person or virtual interviews for clinician and RN candidates. Works with Human Resources to customize the interview plan and schedule as appropriate. Schedules and holds time available each week to ensure a quick turnaround on interviews. Assists with the coordination of the selection decision.
  • Works with the Clinical Services Personnel Coordinator to develop the training plan for each new hire. Meets with each new clinician to assist with on-boarding and credentialing.
  • Precepts new hires and closely follows the progress of each new hire. Solicits feedback from other preceptors using skill checklists and other tools.
  • Serves as a mentor to newly hired clinicians and RNs. Reaches out to offer support and guidance.
  • Prepares and conducts the trial period evaluation. Consults with the Health Center Manager(s), VP of Medical Services, the Director of Health Services, and Human Resources as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Trains and evaluates Clinicians and Registered Nurses.
Education
  • MA/MS in related field preferred
  • APC licensure and specialty certification required
Experience:
  • Five years clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Clinician, or at least two years at PPGNHAIK or a comparable reproductive healthcare practice.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills in professional activities.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in education and training of advanced practice nurses.
  • Proficiency in the use of an electronic medical record system.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced clinical skills, with an emphasis on reproductive health care.
  • Experience in education and training of advanced practice nurses.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
License and Certifications:
  • Current ARNP and RN, or PA license.
  • CPR certification.

Experience with reproductive healthcare in a clinical office or hospital setting with knowledge of EHR
