Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday / Occasional Evenings/Saturdays as needed

Family Service has offered comprehensive services to vulnerable populations in our community since 1903, and our mission has always remained strong: To empower individuals and families to transform their lives and strengthen their community.    

Our programs are committed to helping to improve the overall health of our families by working with community partners to effectively address social and economic instability, as well as provide valuable resources and support in homes, neighborhoods, schools and workplaces.  These efforts demonstrate effectiveness in addressing community needs and improving outcomes for families in the communities we serve while addressing social determinants of health that directly impact where people live, learn, work and play. Our programs provide services to include Early Childhood education, mental health and well-being counseling services, outpatient substance abuse treatment, parent education and engagement, family strengthening, therapeutic visitation and neutral exchange for children and families; financial empowerment, workforce development and readiness, and senior in-home assistance.  

This is a 40 hour per week position that includes full time benefits. Provides direct child behavioral health services and supervision of other staff, program monitoring, while integrating evidence-based and best practices and strategies and maintaining expected productivity standards and adherence to professional practices. Services are provided in classroom, home and office based venues primarily to young children through age 8, working with teachers, parents, caregivers and/or other providers.

Required qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology, behavioral health, social work, or other related behavioral science field, licensure as an LPC, LMSW, or LMFT; or other professional licensure currently issued by the appropriate state agency. At least two years experience in the human service field; 1 year of Early Childhood experience in any setting or 2 semesters of internship experience in child mental health setting can be substituted for 1 year post masters. Experience in staff/intern supervision and program monitoring/oversight. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills preferred but not required.

Preferred qualifications:

Any experience working with young children (under age 9) and/or families, and fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
