Overview:
We are seeking an entry or mid-level Clinical Testing Personnel to join our growing Clinical Testing laboratory. An ideal candidate will have a foundation in biological science (specifically microbiology, and/or molecular biology), work well as a part of a team, be adaptable, and have excellent task-management skills. The primary responsibilities of this role include handling biological patient specimens, sample setup, RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, quality assurance and control, data entry, and interpretation of PCR data.

Educational Requirements: BS in a scientific field (preferably biological sciences)
Work Schedule: Shifts expected to be Tuesday-Saturday, with potential to change as business needs adjust.
Duties:
- Entering in, verification, and tracking of patient information into laboratory information system (LIS) - computer proficiency needed
- DNA/RNA biological sample extraction
- Perform clinical PCR tests on patient samples according to established protocols and guidelines in a CLIA/COLA-accredited laboratory
- Collect and analyze patient data, ensuring accuracy and confidence in results
- Adheres to the laboratory's quality control policies, showing excellent attention to detail and documentation of all laboratory processes as needed
- Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient specimens
- Handle private patient information according to HIPAA guidelines
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of the laboratory as delegated by supervisor
- Conduct phone calls to clinics in a professional and customer-service oriented manner when necessary
- Participate in all laboratory training and development activities, routine laboratory tasks, and some non-routine tasks such as transport of specimens using a company vehicle
Required skills:
- Strong aseptic technique
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a high throughput environment
- Flexible and works well both independently as well as part of a team
- Great organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Preferred skills:
- Prior laboratory experience, preferably qRT-PCR
- Work experience in a high-complexity / CLIA-accredited laboratory, preferred but not required
