The Clinical Support Specialist will oversee students in their clinical rotations in the hospital setting per the guidelines in place by the college in the adjunct faculty handbook, job description, and course description as well as the guidelines of the organization they are assigned to.
Duties and Tasks:
- Oversee students in their clinical rotations
- Provide support to student during clinical hours
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Virginia.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct nursing care experience in an in-patient setting.
- Prior experience teaching in higher education
- Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment.
- Experience teaching students from diverse language backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.
