The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.

Position Summary

Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Answers phone, triages call, takes messages and forwards to appropriate persons in EPIC.
- Maintains/Receives electronic faxes and routes/upload to EPIC chart/ working New patient referrals
- Provides customer support for clients, faculty and staff in a friendly and helpful manner while providing a positive, professional, courteous and empathetic understanding to all customers.
- Exhibits high quality performance through accuracy, attention to detail and commitment in a timely manner.
- Oversees the procurement of materials from outside institutions in support of clinical testing performed by laboratories.
- Effectively troubleshoots errors and problems in order to ensure pre-analytic accuracy in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of insurance industry. Performs insurance verification for appointments and to ensure accurate and timely payment for services.
- Effectively prioritizes workload to ensure completion of duties within stated expectations.
- Fulfills client requests as needed.
- Assists with additional projects as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of facility layout and purchasing functions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting.
