Heartland Health Center's main clinic in Grand Island provides comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health care services to Grand Island and surrounding communities. As an integrated care clinic, providers work collaboratively to serve all aspects of patients' health care needs and believe that that exceptional, compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all.
Heartland Health Center's satellite clinic in Ravenna provides access to primary medical care and behavioral health care for the local community. The Clinical Support staff member will work with our Nurse Practitioner to deliver services at this access point.
Position Description:
The Clinical Support staff member will provide professional nursing care for clinic patients by following established standards and practices. The position will assist the Provider with all aspects of patient care within the scope of their license including the following responsibilities:
- Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs
- Interviewing patients and recording their medical history
- Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms
- Administering injections of medications
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
Qualifications:
- Unrestricted License with one of the following in the state of NE: RN, or LPN
- Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, office management system software, and the Electronic Health Record System
