The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) is an acclaimed human services organization and one of the nation's largest providers of housing and social services, invites applications for aClinical Supervisor(LMSW, LCSW, MHC, LMHC) position at 90 Sands.
Located in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, 90 Sands, the newly renovated 30-story former Watchtower Society building, has 491 units of affordable and permanent supportive housing for low-income individuals, with 305 of these units available to people experiencing homelessness with histories of mental illness and/or substance use. CUCS provides comprehensive on-site social services using a person-centered and recovery-based orientation, which includes evidence-based practices such as Supported Employment, and Motivational Interviewing.
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and direct oversight of a clinical service team, including one Social Worker and three Case Managers. This position has significant decision making, supervisory, administrative, and service delivery responsibilities, including ensuring staff productivity and achievement of measurable outcomes along with service recipient satisfaction. As a member of the management team, this person will also be expected to participate in and contribute to a program culture that is person-centered, strengths-based, outcome oriented, and dedicated to continuous quality improvement.
Clinical hours and supervision is provided to work towards LCSW and LMHC.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical and administrative supervision of day to day operations of the building and clinical services team
- Oversight of the program's contractual obligations
- Maintenance of appropriate staff levels to ensure consistent service delivery to clients
- Review of referrals from outreach teams and coordination of intake
- Collaboration with building management and security staff around maintenance and other site-related matters
- On-call support to the program during evening and weekend hours
Requirements
- Clinical Supervisor 1
• LMSW or Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or Marriage and Family Therapy Limited Permit
• Relevant pre or post Master's experience preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred - Clinical Supervisor 2
• LMSW or Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or Marriage and Family Therapy Limited Permit
• 2 years relevant pre or post Master's experience required
• Supervisory experience preferred - Clinical Supervisor 3
• LCSW, LMHC, LMFC
• Relevant pre or post Master's experience in supervisory experienced preferred
OR
• LMSW or Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or Marriage and Family Therapy Limited Permit
• 2 years supervisory experience in any field
• 4 years relevant experience in social services
- Supervisory experience in the field of housing or homeless services
- Strong crisis intervention skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy
- Ability to interface effectively and efficiently with colleagues to ensure quality services and program operations.
- Commitment to utilization of a housing first and person-centered approach in working with clients
- Experience with DHS CARES preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
