Job Description: The Role

In this role you will support a broad range of front and back-office operations, include managing employees in co-working, facilities maintenance, regenerative medicine, biohacking and concierge services. This role supports Optimum’s growth with high quality, efficient and innovative service solutions through dedicated associates and team expertise.

Job Description:

The Director of Clinical Research leads and manages the implementation and execution of daily research operations at Optimum Clinical Research Group, LLC. Day-to-day operations include the following: human resources management, project leadership, financial accountability, policy development, safety, and customer relations. The Director provides leadership for the research staff by communicating goals and strategies, providing direction and priorities and providing enthusiasm and support. They will enable and facilitate research while providing the infrastructure to ensure the research is conducted in accordance with all governing laws and regulations. They are responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the administrative and operational structure to support all Clinical Research activity.

Responsibilities:

· Manages, develops, retains and inspires an engaged workforce

· Supervises all research team members and works closely with executive team to plan, prioritize, and implement operational goals.

· Comfortable in a laboratory and in clinical settings

· Manages day-to-day operations of the company. Assures that performance standards for all staff are met.

· Oversees the delivery of patient care by all professional and support staff within the company.

· Ensures the orientation of new employees to role functions, policies and procedures and information systems. Assists and directs staff in the identification of their own learning needs and assists staff in meeting those needs.

· Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross functional collaboration.

· Accountable for the quality improvement and safety initiatives for area(s) of responsibility.

· Collaborates with leadership with planning and coordinating both undergrad and graduate student experiences.

· Review and modify standard operating procedures

· Ensures all research team members are trained in the most current policies and procedures.

· Oversees all financial aspects for Optimum Clinical Research Group, including approval of CTA’s,

Budgets, and department expenditures.

· Monitors study activities to ensure compliance with protocols and with relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional polices

Education and Experience

· Master's degree in public health, health sciences, biological sciences, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

- Oncology experience strongly desired

· 5+ years of experience as a CRC or equivalent position coordinating therapeutic II-IV drug or device trials

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership position is preferred. Certification from Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) is preferred.

Skills Required

· Comfortable in a laboratory and in clinical settings

· Clear and effective communication with investigators, nurses and other stakeholders

· Strong management and coaching skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications

· Working knowledge of PCs and word processing and data management software

· Verbal and written communication

· Goal-oriented; self-directive

· Initiation, motivation, creativity

· Organizational and interpersonal

· Ability to actively participate as a team player

· Fine motor skills required for manipulation and processing of human specimens in a laboratory environment.

· Knowledge of biological and medical terminology.

· In-depth knowledge of ICH, GCP, FDA, IATA, GLP best practices & regulations
