The Clinical Research Coordinator for the Office of Well-Being and Resilience (OWBR) will assist in the scholarship, research and reporting endeavors of the office. The OWBR sits within the Deans Office and creates programming, advocates for change and conducts research to enhance the well-being and professional satisfaction of the Icahn School of Medicine constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine and standardized human subjects’ research using appropriate research or interview techniques specific to subject matter of the research project, providing support to the Principal Investigator.
  • Assists in the activities related to Clinical Research including, but not limited to: obtaining informed consent, screening participants for eligibility, registering patients with sponsoring agencies, administering questionnaires and answering telephone calls.
  • Assists in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
  • Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with Mount Sinai policies and procedures. Ensures accurate, confidential and complete compilation of data.
  • Assist with coordination of the research team meetings, and maintenance of organized documents and files, including a comprehensive publications list and annotated bibliography
  • Contribute to team’s scholarship from literature searches to manuscript preparation, formatting, and submission
  • Coordinate creation and submission of IRB requests for research studies and correspond with IRB coordinators to move projects forward
  • Assists with development and inputting of survey instruments on REDCap
  • Generate summaries and charts from well-being survey data to be presented to stakeholders and create individualized departmental reports
  • Assists in coordination of additional scholarly projects such as evaluation of programs and coordination of meetings.
  • May assist in the preparation for regulatory agency site visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred or a combination of relevant research experience and education
  • 0-2 years of research/human subjects experience
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with written, visual and data related presentation skills (MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience with hosting zoom meetings.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $15.64 - $34.12 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
