BASIC FUNCTION:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of research activities related to grants management research, writing, data entry as well as advanced office/administrative support duties which require a thorough knowledge of a function or functions within a department or work unit. This position may be responsible for monitoring business affairs, personnel matters and interpreting policy and procedures, as well as, assisting in performing a variety of duties on a research project. Incumbents typically work at a high degree of independence with general direction received from their immediate supervisor.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts may include senior administrators, faculty, students, and staff. External contacts may include vendors, consultants, and the general public.
PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Maintains and updates grant information when received.
· Compile data and assists in routine preliminary analyses; maintains research data in computer, writes summary reports and report findings to investigator.
· Assists the grant staff in coordinating administrative procedures, maintaining timelines, and developing reports.
· Assist in preparing progress reports, presentations and meetings as required by the project.
· Works with their immediate supervisor to prepare confidential correspondence and reports.
· Input information into a variety of computer software packages including spreadsheets, relational databases, presentation packages and publishing software.
· Assist in editing abstracts and papers submitted for publications.
· Organize supplies, materials or equipment and sets-up participants for focus and study groups.
· Perform administrative duties such as managing the calendar, producing reports, and monitoring grants.
· Perform tasks such as filing, typing, labeling and billing conducting inventories and requisitioning of supplies and materials.
· Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system
· Working with a supervising Physician or Doctor to complete and submit medical records
· Prioritize workload to meet expectations of supervisor.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

- Medical transcription: 2 years (Preferred)
- Clinical research: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Professional Medical Scribe (CPMS) (Preferred)
