Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Administrative Assistantto provide administrative support for positions and activities with VAPAHCS, PAVIR, DVBIC, and Stanford University and any professional roles held as a result of these positions.
The Administrative Assistant will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Functions of this position shall be performed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and in fulfillment of DVBIC's standards of excellence, utilizing continuous improvements in processes, policies, and procedures to optimize productivity and service to our customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Administrative support:
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support Dr. Harris as PI/Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center;
- Assist with staff events, accreditation preparation, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Special Projects / Miscellaneous:
- Assist with conferences including room set-up, catering order, registration, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- 2-4 years of related experience;
- Strong organizational skills and professional yet welcoming demeanor;
- Ability to work with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters;
- Ability to organize work, set priorities and use good time management;
- Accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to follow directions and procedures;
- Ability to complete directed tasks independently;
- Able to work cooperatively and with a positive manner;
- Understanding of basic office procedures;
- Good understanding of filing systems: alphabet, numerical and categories;
- Skilled in tracking and follow-up methods;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of basic office machines - fax, printer, scanner.
