Venesco, LLC is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to support military members and their families at Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center - Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV. Hours: This is a full-time position plus on-call rotation. Regular: Mon-Fri- 07:30am-04:30pm OR Mon-Thurs 07:30am-06:30pm On-Call/Beeper: Tues-Tues - 05:30pm-07:30 am - Rotated among all mental health providers - Additional compensation provided. Duties include: Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate. Diagnose all major psychiatric disorders in accordance with the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association. Determine appropriate treatment setting and provide a variety of effective treatment modalities in an outpatient setting, which include psychopharmacology and the traditional interactive psychotherapies. Conduct assessments and offer appropriate guidance for other providers in the treatment of patients who present with secondary psychiatric complaints. Provide timely and accurate psychiatric consultation to commanders in all acute circumstances. Render fitness/suitability for duty determinations, and ensure that all members referred for security clearances, flying operations, personnel reliability program, and special assignments are capable of such responsibilities from a mental health perspective. Conduct professional training activity for mental health flight staff, interns, students and residents in accordance with established guidelines and time frames. Qualifications: Education/Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited psychology program or a program acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force. Internship: Shall have completed an APA accredited internship/residency in Professional Psychology or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist required to meet clinical competency requirements Licensure/Registration: Current license to practice psychology in any of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
