Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Evenings/Nights

Job Summary:

Performs testing and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the procedures involved in general laboratory testing, maintenance, quality control and quality management. Performs other duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Job Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree, graduated from an accredited Medical Technology program, and have one of the following: MLT, ASCP Registration; MLS, ASCP Registration; CLT, Registration from HEW Proficiency exam; Military Clinical Specialist training. Current licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners is required.

Job Knowledge:

A working knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures, their purpose, normal ranges, and significance of abnormal values. Must be familiar with operation of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting procedures. Must demonstrate proficiency in collection of specimens and performance of laboratory tests. Good organizational skills, data entry and medical computer software experience helpful.

Full-time 

Evenings/Nights - alternating shifts

Pay Range:

$27.72 - $40.19
