POSITION SUMMARY
According to departmental policies and professional standards, performs and reviews various moderate to highly complex test procedures in one or more sections of the laboratory without direct supervision. Testing must be requested by a licensed physician and requires a degree of skill that is commensurate with the individual’s education, training, experience and technical abilities.
POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the following positions: None or Phlebotomists as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act and Amendments (CLIA).
- Current, valid and active National Board certified or eligible for national certification as an MT or CLS (MT/ASCP or CLS/ASCP) or Categorical Certification in the related Clinical Laboratory discipline.
- This position will be based at Kentfield Marin location.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Experience preferred.
Current BLS certification from an approved vendor preferred.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSURES, REGISTRATIONS
Current, valid and active National Board certified or eligible for national certification as an MT or CLS (MT/ASCP or CLS/ASCP) or Categorical Certification in the related Clinical Laboratory discipline. Current BLS certification from an approved vendor preferred.

Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals as appropriate to the position.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form. Ability to define and solve problems and collect data.

Pay: $58.00 - $85.85 per hour
