Summary
Performs radiologic exams of designated anatomy to physician specifications. Provides students with appropriate and adequate clinical instruction/supervision and evaluates clinical competence. Maintains accurate information in Epic and performs all clerical/computer functions to support patient care delivery.
Job Duties
- Coordinates, oversees, and participates in all levels of training of diagnostic students.
- Assists physicians in the performance of specialized procedures.
- Ensures appropriate exam is performed and attached to the correct patient folder.
- Bills for supplies, room time, medications, contrast, etc.
- Reports malfunction and the need for equipment adjustment and/or repairs.
- Performs and evaluates daily equipment start-up procedures.
- Prepares and administers contrast, as prescribed, based on the approved protocol under the supervision of the Radiologist.
Minimum Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma AMA approved School of Radiological Technology.
- 5 years As a diagnostic technologist.
- Knowledge of radiation-producing equipment.
- Knowledge of instructional and evaluative techniques.
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire
Physical Demands
Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
