Job Description
Educational trainings include but are not limited to; orientation, collaborative problem solving, therapeutic relationships, behavioral health academy sessions, non-violent crisis intervention with advanced physical skills, verbal de-escalation techniques, SAMHSA’s concept for a trauma-informed approach to care, Six Core Strategies for reducing seclusion and restraint, annual competency trainings, as well as ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives for clinical staff.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work or Bachelor's degree in counseling or other behavioral health discipline (Master's level degree preferred). 2. Three to five years of psychiatric and mental health experience or licensed practical nurse is required with all age populations. 3. At least two years of experience in education and or teaching strongly preferred. 4. Certified instructor of applied nonviolence crisis prevention program (obtain within 3 months of hire).
