JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will support the Department of Professional Development and Nursing Excellence by collaborating with the Administrator of Professional Practice & Operations to provide a framework of services that promote the growth and development of nursing within Griffin Health Services. The CNE will assist with orientation and onboarding of all nursing staff, including Student Nurse Interns. The CNE will develop, implement relevant competencies and in-service programs and collaborate with nursing leadership team in identifying areas in which education is necessary. The CNE will assist in the development and implementation of educational programs for nurses and nursing support staff.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BSN Required. Master’s degree in Nursing or matriculated in a Master’s degree program preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Certification: Specialty or education certification preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years clinical experience in an acute care setting required. Knowledge of educational development and design in order to assist in the planning, development, and implementation of educational offerings for nurses and other health care professionals from a variety of practice settings. Experience in classroom instruction and clinical teaching associated with specialty specific settings is required. Experience as a clinical instructor for nursing students, is a plus.
Licensure: Current Connecticut licensure in clinical field
