Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
CLFC seeks a Clinical Director to manage the counselors in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The position is responsible for onsite and teleconference counselors both inside and outside the Continental United States. The Clinical Director will lead the efforts of the EAP in providing support for employees and their families who need assistance when faced with day-to-day life challenges.
- Provides leadership and supervision to clinical staff assigned to the program, including 24/7/365 operations.
- Oversees the clinical policies, procedures and practices of all qualified clinical staff serving under this contract, including intake coordinators, counselor supervisors (if applicable), staff counselors and affiliate counselors.
- Liaises with Human Resource to provide information on resources and practices regarding issues ranging from substance abuse to workplace conflict.
- Can work independently and as part of team.
- Determines any training opportunities/informational seminars for employees and managements.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a clinical mental health.
- Current state license to practice.
- 10 years equivalent experience in a behavioral/mental health.
- 5 years clinical supervision in an EAP environment.
- 5 years substance abuse treatment experience.
- 5 years in military/LE or fed government culture.
- 2 years experience as it relates to workplace issues.
- Ability to travel locally based on client needs.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of employee assistance and managerial consultative services.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to cope with difficult and/or urgent situations requiring immediate decisions.
- Experience providing training and workshops/seminars
- Proficient in Microsoft office products or equivalent
