Job Requirements:

Must have an active Registered Nurse License in good standing with the Board of Nursing within the IAH's jurisdictional practice location. Ability to successfully collaborate with the IAH Vice President to develop and grow the home and community-based services program. Highly experienced in providing exceptional customer service to geriatric clients and interacting with their support systems. Ability to lead and communicate effectively.

Must be able to perform job-related functions safely and successfully, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law. Maintains professional presence when representing Ingleside at Home; exhibits degree of professionalism consistent with standards in performance, behavior, and appearance. Performs those duties assigned effectively and in a timely manner. Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior with clients, families, co-workers, subordinates, supervisors, and other department staff. Must hold a current and valid driver's license as required by the state and have an excellent driving record as verified by the state Department of Motor Vehicles. Must be able to drive to and from clients' homes and Ingleside community locations. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or experience commiserate to BSN. Five (5) years of experience in a management position. Experience in home care or home health preferred.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall effectiveness and expansion of the home and community-based services program in collaboration with the IAH Vice President. Utilizing best practices and innovation in the home care industry, this position will develop and implement policies and procedures, provide clinical oversight of services provided, regulatory compliance, and the financial health of IAH.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationships

  1. Responsible for completing the initial assessment of clients entering the IAH program if staff RN (Registered Nurse) is unavailable.
  • Responsible for reassessing clients in the IAH program as client needs change with service plan updates if staff RN unavailable.
  • Responsible for the development of the service plan if staff RN unavailable.
  • Oversees the coordination of services to ensure all clients requesting services receive what they need promptly.
  • Develops positive relationships with community contacts and referral sources to facilitate a steady stream of referrals of new business to IAH.
  • Fills in as clinical care provider whenever necessary.
  • Serves as on call RN for after-hours services as needed

Employee Management

  1. Coordinate with the Operations team in determining qualifications of staff needed, position descriptions and salary ranges.
  • Provides direct supervision to and evaluation of IAH clinical staff to ensure high quality care is provided to clients.
  • Ensures clinical staff are adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Plans and implements in-service and continuing education for IAH clinical staff.
  1. Functions as IAH Administrator.
  • Along with IAH Vice President and Director of Operations, oversees the IAH business plan including planning for break-even point in expenses/revenue, profit projections, projected client census, and projected staffing needs, internal and external expansion of services.
  • Works with IAH Vice President and Director of Operations to establish a marketing plan, monitor referral status, and prepare and present reports related to referral process.
  • Works with the Director of Operations to ensure that payroll and billing are processed timely and accurately. Ensures that accounts receivable is managed appropriately.
  • Recommends appropriate annual changes to add/remove service lines and corresponding charges to maintain sufficient revenue.
  • Works with IAH Vice President and Director of Operations to develop and review annual budget.
  • Develop and administer IAH educational program for staff with required documentation.
  • Along with Operations Team oversee employee and client satisfaction management process.

Communication/Documentation

  1. Interfaces with Department Directors and Managers professionally and effectively utilizing techniques which build and support teams.
  • Interfaces with Corporate structure as needed to assist with new product line innovation.
  • Provides oversight and maintenance of client records.
  • Review and complete clinical record documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  1. Maintains professional presence when representing Ingleside exhibits degree of professionalism consistent with standards in performance, behavior, and appearance.

  1. Demonstrates professional development/skills competency in all activities.

  1. Complies with Ingleside established safety rules and practices
  2. Complies with applicable safety policies and procedures prescribed by the organization and government regulations.
