SUMMARY
The Clinical Dietitianmonitors and assesses the nutritional status of patients as it relates to disease state including patients on enteral and parenteral nutrition. Counsel and instruct patients according to prescribed diet; must be able to adapt standard diets to individual physical, cultural, and socioeconomic conditions and religious preferences. Must possess knowledge of the growth and development of the adolescent and geriatric populations. Must be able to use this knowledge in assessing patients and in determining a plan of care. Must be able to use appropriate communication skills in educating the geriatric and adolescent population.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from an accredited institution
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed by Georgia's State Board of Licensed Dietitians Commission on Dietetic Registration
