Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans
- Provide health coaching and education to patients on proper nutrition and dietary habits
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement nutrition interventions
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting dietary plans as necessary
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' nutritional status and identify any deficiencies or imbalances
- Provide guidance on appropriate food choices and meal planning for specific medical conditions or dietary restrictions
- Educate patients on the use of tube feeding and provide support in managing enteral nutrition
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and progress
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and its relationship to nutrition
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and counsel patients on dietary changes
- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine nutritional needs
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies or imbalances
- Knowledge of various therapeutic diets, including enteral nutrition and tube feeding protocols
- Ability to develop personalized dietary plans based on individual patient needs and medical conditions
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients and prioritize workload effectively
