Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Nurse Clinical Coordinator in our Surgical Services Department.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Clinical Coordinator provides leadership, direction and clinical support to nursing staff to promote quality patient care and a safe work environment. The successful candidate reports to the Director of Surgical Services, and is considered a working supervisor with duties beyond patient care to include precepting, training, and coverage in absence of the Director. A Facilitator for improvement of nursing standards and quality care in a specialty surgical area. Provides coordination for clinical activities during the assigned shift including scheduling and general care activties.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree (BSN) required
Experience
3 years' experience as a Surgical/OR Nurse
1 years' experience in a supervisory and/or charge position
Other
Active Illinois RN license
BLS and PALS, required
