Clinical CareManager Needed in Growing Holistic Clinic
We are an expanding naturopathic and alternative healthcare clinic located in Southeast Portland seeking a friendly and fast learning back office manager. This position would suit an experienced CMA or RN who has knowledge of natural medicine.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient care, including taking vitals, setting up and assisting with procedures, rooming patients
Proficiency in Phlebotomy - ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY
Closing/Opening the clinic
Making homeopathic, botanical and herbal remedies
Working reception and checking patients in/out, collecting copays and scheduling.
Keeping the treatment rooms tidy and clean. Laundry. Dishes.
Insurance verifications, faxing documents, and data entry
Patient point person - responsible for all face-to-face patient medical inquiries and contact including prescription refills, patient portal communication, lab orders, etc.
Perform in house testing, blood draws, injections, and assist with IV's
Utilize computer and HIPAA compliant software to input and retrieve personal health information
Medicinary management: ordering, stocking, special orders etc.
Ordering and stocking medical supplies, labs and lab supplies
WORK CONDITIONS:
Shared space with other co-workers
Work is reviewed through meetings, analysis of reports, client feedback and observations
Attendance at meetings or completion of work outside of normal scheduled hours may be required
Work is subject to frequent interruptions and normal office noise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong interest and experience with natural and preventive medicine
Calm, warm, and bubbly personality with a positive outlook - like a relaxing hot-tub with jets!
Irritatingly organized
Strong customer service skills - caring and connecting with patients, staff and providers is absolutely required
Computer savvy
Phlebotomy skills
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
Love to talk on the phone - but not too long - short and sweet
Initiative and Self Reliance/confidence: make decisions on a timely basis and take action without direction from others when necessary.
Problems are just puzzles waiting to be solved
Love the intricacies of detail but have the perspective of an eagle
The ability to work as a team, and be a positive leader
Macintosh, savvy/guru/geek/lover!
Must always be one step ahead, and never on toes
Even with text messaging you still write in complete sentences with appropriate grammar

We are searching for a friendly, caring, and honest individual who is interested in developing connections with patients and staff. It's central to the mission of the clinic to perpetuate a community feel where patients feel comfortable and care is administered at every step.
Our ideal candidate will be available full time, 30-40 hours per week and may be asked to do shifts any day of the week. The ability and flexibility to cover shifts as needed is required to work with this team. Shifts will vary in length and occurrence at first but you can anticipate full-time work, and a monthly set schedule. Unlike most medical assistant positions, work/life balance is important for our culture and community.
