The Clinic Nurse is responsible for assisting Physicians and Mid-Level Practitioners with the management and treatment of patients in a Primary Care setting. The Clinic Nurse assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. - Coordinates and maintains organized patient flow, including scheduling.
- Performs patient intake and prepares patient for exam based on reason for visit.
- Provides support and assistance with procedures.
- Performs basic lab and testing procedures according to standards.
- Administers injections including immunizations as ordered by Provider.
- Cleans, prepares, and stocks exam rooms, treatment rooms, and workstations.
- Dispenses medication and/or calls in medication refills under the direction of Provider.
- Documents patient care information in the outpatient medical record according to standards.
- Assists with scheduling of patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintains quality control for equipment.
- Supports employer wellness initiatives.
•Current MN RN or LPN Licensure.
•Graduate of an Accredited Nursing program.
•Current CPR Certification.
•Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Phlebotomy Experience Preferred
•Basic Computer Skills required, EMR experience preferred
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills.
