Position Summary: The Client Relations Specialist position will serve as the lead on all AHDI direct to employer implementations. This will include but is not limited to coordination of workflows and processes, evaluation of vendors, making recommendations on best practices and selection, coordination of communication materials and branding and the training of management on AHDI programs and practices. Final decision will rest with AHDI management, but this position will serve as the primary contact and liaison with the clients, both at implementation and throughout the relationship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Client Relations Specialist:
- Provide superior, professional, ongoing, and consistent communication and customer service with hospital system management.
- Successfully coordinate and track implementations following internal Project Management Office (PMO) and operational guidelines.
- Handle daily requests and coordinate with AHDI staff and that of other departments to resolve issues.
- Communicate and respond to clients and internal departments within 24 hours via email or phone.
- Successfully monitor post implementation key indicators.
- Coordinate with internal department teams for various requests and projects, developing awareness of products and instilling teamwork.
- Organize and maintain client files and records.
Client Relations Specialist Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to intelligently converse with hospital system leadership and staff and gain their trust. To that end, a clinical background, training and/or exposure is required. An individual with an RN, NP or PA designation is preferred. An MPH certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated superior customer service, claims or other insurance experience in the healthcare industry (third party administrator preferred).
- Proven abilities in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Highly experienced in relationship management with clients and/or brokers.
- People and team oriented.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to host meetings using Zoom or other video conferencing applications.
- Detailed understanding of operational areas of health insurance is a plus.
